After traveling extensively around Europe in the early seventies I returned home and started working in the travel and airline industry.
My first experience of yoga was with Jackie Holzen, a senior teacher in the BKS Iyengar method of Hatha yoga. I was hooked! Some years later I moved to Cape Town where I continued with my own yoga practice and after the birth of my first son, started teaching. Five years later, my second son was born. The arrival of both my sons enriched my life! The practice of yoga has given me an inner strength that has helped me cope with life’s challenges. In many ways, it has brought balance to my body, mind and spirit leaving me with a sense of inner harmony.
As my own practice evolved, so did my teachings. I’ve always been, and still am, a ‘hands on’ teacher. Often my students would ask me how I knew where to place my hands. The ‘knowing’ was through regular touch which sharpened my senses. In 2003 when I started studying CranioSacral therapy with the Upledger Institute, my hands became even more intuitive and am able to feel/sense/read the body’s tissue, where the client is unable to. I have worked and taught classes in Athens, Crete and Silver Island in Greece and in England.
My fascination with the workings of the body lead me to study Anatomy, physiology, Ayurveda, Metaphysical Healing. Currently my main focus is on Yoga, Craniosacral therapy and my own personal unfolding. Both Yoga and CST afford me the privilege of meeting wonderful people of all ages, from new-borns to octogenarians. Without them, my work is non-existent!
In deep gratitude.
